1、本题很容易因为使用ARGUMENT中“个例不能代表整体”的观点而跑题。要注意，题目所说的是“社会最重要的特征”而不是状况。
2、不要把视角限定在城市的固定事物中，城市之中的商业、人物、活动等等都可以包括进来。
3、讨论“best”的时候可以通过对比等方式进行，要注意论述始终要和“主要城市”有联系，不要偏离论述核心。

Every major city can be regarded as the result of the highest development of a society. Meanwhile, all the best elements of this society can be found in its major cities. Thus, in order to understand the most important characteristics of the society completely, it is essential to know the major cities together with other area of this society.
I cannot agree more with the statement that one must study the major cities of the society if he or she wanted to understand the feature of a nation or a group of people. The metropolis stands for the highest level of the society. The most advanced technologies must be applied to the city which can be found in transportation, infrastructures and many other fields. Moreover, the morality and the standard of living of the citizens can demonstrate the characteristic of the people of this nation in some aspect. It is acknowledged that France is the most romantic country in the world which mainly owing to its major city as well as the capital, Paris. This kind of characteristic can be fully presented by both the architectures and the citizens of city Paris. It is really an unforgettable experience to see the night view on the Eiffel tower or have a ramble in the Champs Elysees Street. There are no more other cities of France which are more romantic than Paris.
On the other hand, studying of other cities or remote areas of the society must be highly concerned if someone wants to fully understand its characteristics. Taking China as an example, there are more than fifty races of Chinese people which are widely spread in different provinces respectively and each races of people have their distinguished and distinctive characteristics with each other. Therefore, if someone just studied Beijing and Shanghai in order to know the most important characteristics of this nation, the result must be biased.
Although the statement which author gives is quite undoubtedly, the final characteristic of a society must be combined by its major cities as well as other areas of the nation. Different places raise different people and the most important characteristics can only be decided after the comparison of all different kinds of areas of this society.
