1. 描述一个曾经很辉煌,而后来失去了活力的机构(企业,政府等),并分析它失去活力的原因。这些原因是否与领导者有关系?
回答: Nokia, 最开始依靠产品的高品质一直走在行业领先地位。后来失去活力的原因是创新能力有限,没能跟上市场的潮流,开发出来的新产品也很少有人关注。从一定程度上说,这是与领导有关的,因为领导决定了整个企业的方向。但是最大的责任还是在研发团队身上,因为它们的创新速度决定了这个企业是否能领先于市场的潮流。
2. 导致事业失去活力的原因有哪些?哪些原因跟领导者有关系?有什么关系?请举例说明。
回答: 对于做产品的企业来说(比如手机、汽车),产品的品质下降、产品不受消费者喜欢、或者其他企业生产的产品更受欢迎等,导致消费者转向其他企业,从而失去活力 而对政府来说,腐败、办事效率低下(例如对人们提出的意见不能及时处理),或者政策对人们的限制太多都会引起人们的不满,导致人们不配合政府的工作,使政府失去活力。
3. 更换新的领导会给事业发展带来什么好处和什么弊端?在一定时间内更换领导对哪些行业更有好处?请举例说明。
回答: 好处是:会为企业或政府注入新的活力,带来新的观点,以及事业的新的发展方向。 弊端:新的领导可能会对如何领导事业的发展并不熟悉,可能会引导其走向一个错误的发展方向,所以可能会在这段时期内,企业或政府的状态将面临风险。 在一定时间内更换领导对政府来说是有一定的好处的,比如说人们并不支持当前政府的一些做法,在新的政府上任之后情况将会得到好转,因为新的政府是人们投票选出来的,新政府的政策能在一定程度上代表现在选民的意志,使他们更满意。
4. 对一个领导者的领导水平的评判应该考虑哪些因素?是否能因为企业失去了活力就让他/她下台?请举例说明。
回答: 对于未来发展方向的预测能力(判断对了方向,可以使企业发展并使其成为行业的范例),协调下属的能力(这点很重要,一个好的领导可以根据员工的能力分配任务,从而使整体效果好于单个效果之和),凝聚团队的能力(可以使自己的人才留下来,不去别的公司;也可以吸引新的人才)。 并不能因为企业失去了活力就让他/她下台,因为失去活力的问题可能并没有出在领导身上,有可能是这个行业已经处于逐渐被遗弃的状态(比如生产煤以为燃料的火车的公司)。而使他/她下台可能会导致员工的不满,从而使企业更加失去活力。
5. 要让事业充满活力,可以有哪些手段和方法?请举例说明。
回答: 除了更换领导之外,产生新的想法,开发新的技术,不断对市场的需求进行调查以及对行业潮流进行跟踪,并对自身做出调等都可以使事业充满活力。例如麦当劳,虽然十几年以来主要的产品从来没有更换过,但每次一有重大活动比如世界杯和奥运会发生时,他们都会推出一些很符合当前特点的食品或者纪念品。因此一家老企业也能随时充满活力。

In order to maintain the vitality of an entrprise, such as government and business, some people suggest that, the leadership should be replaced after five years. They illustrate that altering leaders is the best way for any enterprises to reach their success. Indeed, new leader would infuse fresh blood and bring new ideas for the business or government. However, regarding the drawbacks of switching leadership and other reasons which are responsible for the devitalization of enterprise, I can not completely agree with this claim.Besides the leader's limited competence, many other factors are responsible for the devitalization of an enterprise. As for government, corruption, onerous tax policy, and incompetence in solving people's problem efficiently can be fatal problems. Take Qin Dynasty which is a period of significance in Chinese hitory for example, people in that time were suffering onerous tax and tyanny, this situation served as a catalyst for farmer revolution, and finally, rebellion promoted the denouement of Qin. As for business,such as automobile companies and communication equipment manufacrurers, the decline in quality of productions, the out-of-date design, or the rivalry from other competitors can be the reasons for customers to turn in favor of the products from other companies. And the customers' inclination may lead the consequence of devitalization to the company. The fadding of Nokia can be the best illustration. When the large-screen smart phone which is based on IOS or Android system, bacomes increasingly popular, Nokia still produce cell phones with traditional appearance, which, is not capable of appealing the customers' interests. And eventually, Nokia, the former master in the field of mobile phone, gradually vanished from people's sight. This is because the creativity of the designing team was limited, and the leader was
not the only one to blame.Though leader is responsible for the divitalization of an enterprise, altering leadership may anticipate unfavorable consequence, yet methods other than switching leader can promote the development. On the one hand, lacking of experience, the new leader may not be adept enough to make decision for the entire enterprise. For instance, John Sculley, former executive of Pepsi cola later persuaded by Steve Jobs to take the position of Apple computer's CEO, leaded Apple to the edge of bankruptcy, because his experience in selling sugar water was not suitable for the computer market. On the other hand, the relationship between the new leader and the employees may not be as good as that between the employees and the former leader when he/she  was in the position. Moreover, adopting other methods such as innovativeve perspective, technology development, and keeping up with the trend of market can make the old company revitalized with energy. McDonald's  and KFC are the perfect exanmples. Though the menu of the tradition has never been changed, they always promote some new products or souvenirs to suit the momentous events currently taking place in the world, such as the Olympics and FIFA world cup. Combined with pleasant environment, those eye-catching products subtly increase the sale of their traditional fast food.Apart from those defects of switching leaders, the change would definately introduce some innovative perspective, and brand new guideline for the enterprise's development, and those factors can serve as opportunity for the business or the goverment to realize their goals. In that sense, as for government, it may benefit from replacing leaders every few years to make people keep their faith in the government. Because the new leader is elected by people's vote, he/she is, to some extent, capable of satisfying people's requirement.Admittedly, new leader would sometimes benefit the enterprise, whereas regarding the drawbacks of replacing leadership and other method which could promote the development, leaders should not be replaced by people without contemplation.
