艺术家在获得政府资助后很有可能会形成一个矛盾的思想，一方面他们必须按照政府的一定要求来创作，而这些创作可能是违背他们本意的，而另一方面，他们获得了更好的创作条件，因而他们能创作出技术更高超的艺术品。在中国，有很多音乐家，他们获得政府的资助与支持，他们用他们近乎完美的嗓音与技术来讴歌祖国与政府的伟大。这些音乐在技术上是成熟的，但是很难获得民众们的大力支持。

The independence of art is always a controversial issue in history and contemporary society. Some people agree that it is necessary to support art by funding of government. Some have the opposite opinion by saying that government funding will threaten the integrity of art. It is ture that government funding could make some art form flourish, however the funding will harm the integrity of art more than our estimate.
The government funding of art have a varity of negative aspects to the art. The most important one is that government could control artist's thinking which the artist donot like though works of art. In the Middle age of European, most musicians who sponsored by church creat music pieces which are monotonous and lack of varity. Although these form music have their own feature, it is actually a brainwashing tool of church to control citizen's thinking. Their offsprin would know nothing about more innovative art form. So the vicious circle shaping and the vicious circle originate from the government funding. On the other hand, the artist who recive government funding may putout less artwork, for which they would not worry about life anymore. So the government funding would not only hinder the artist's mind but also weaken the motivition.
Some artist who reject the government funding still can produce great work. Some artist reject funding because they live in wealth and they can devote all themselves to the creation of art. Such as ...who ... There also are other artist who live in poverty but have great moral level. In China, there is a potery named Yuanming Tao, the greatest pastrol poet in Chinese history, who live in poverty. The government invide him to be the officer and offer him ample of food for take advantages of him to write paper for the empire. However, Tao reject the sponsor only because he want to be integrity in his writing. Tao is not the only one who sacrifice comfortable life condition devote the whole life to the creation. On the contary, artist who recive government's sponsor lost integrity. So mant attist in the 1970s Culture Revolution creat politacal artwork for their living.
