回答： I study various subjects in university. I think it is reasonable because different subjects can improve students' overall ability, besides, you don't know which kind of knowledge would be useful in you later life.

回答： yes. my major is English and i used to study a subject in education teaching disabled children. I think it is helpful because when the class is over i designed a project teaching blind children to learn English, in this process i found the my problem in pronouciation.

Different universities have different methods in education with the purpose to improve students' academic abilities. Some universities require students to take classes in many subjects, while other universities require students to specialize in one subject. Several students may be confused by the two opposite instructions and find it difficult to find a good way. Thinking about my own education experience, I strongly in favor of students should take classed in many subjects.

First of all, by taking various classes, students can figure out what they are really interested in and then devoted more time and energy into their favorite to access succeed. It is quite common that large amount of fresh men do not know what they are really interested in or feel tired about their major, so they waste their talent on other things. However, if they have an access to many subjects, they may have more chances to follow their curiosity so to make a success.

Secondly, different subjects give you different skills and people don't know which one will have a practical application in later life, as a consequence, the more we learnt, the more opportunities we have. Steve Jobs used to study calligraphy class in college, which has little relation with his major. But ten years later, when he is designing the first Macintosh computer, it all came back to him and he designed it into Mac, the first computer with beautiful typography. If he had never dropped in on that course, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. Such story tells us should try our best to store as much knowledge as possible for later use.

Thirdly, a student may go deeper by devoted all his time and energy into one subject, however, his way of thinking was restrained in a narrow space. When he comes about problems, it may be hard for him to come up with multiple solutions, that is definitely a barrier for his future development.

In spite of the problems with time-taking and energy-consuming, involving in many subjects do provide students with different views to think about matters and deal with problems in various methods, what's more, by discovering what are they really interested in, students are easier to approach success.
All in all, I prefer students taking classes in many subjects as it is better way to improve ability and increase knowledge.
