作文
The speaker
asserts that critical judgment of work in any given field will be more valuable
if they are from experts in that field. I fundamentally agree. However, in my
point of view, I can't deny that judgment from others have some value
sometimes. So, I tend to agree that under most circumstances, experts'
judgments are more valuable than others.
Admittedly, experts are not right
every time. Ordinary people can make more valuable judgment some times
since they are not constrained with specific knowledge in that field. So they
can make judgment or resolve problems from other perceptive. The example from
consumers and manufacturers will illustrate my opinion. In 2007, many
consumers in Shanghai complained to Apple for its after-sale services. They
advise Apple to improve its after-sale services in China. And many of them
hoped Apple could prolong warranty to ordinary consumers. And the good news was
that Apple improved their after-sale services and prolonged warranty which also
brought more profile to Apple.
However, in most times, ordinary
people's judgments are less valuable for lack of professional knowledge. And
their judgments are possible facetious or even wrong. For example, when
someone's family is ill, who she or he remember firstly is doctor instead of
someone else. Doctors give more precise and valuable judgment, because
they are well educated in medical colleges or universities. They have the
ability to treat patients and even save their lives which is impossible for
someone who have little know about medicine.
Finally, experts are usually well
educated in their fields for many fears. They have specific knowledge and are
more sensitive than ordinary people. For example, when I was a freshman in university,
I attended a first-aid course. And in that course, I learned many professional
treatments to an injured person from my teachers. By attending this course, I
found that most of our thoughts about the treatments to an injured person are
wrong. The experts taught us how to do CPR and other professional treatments.
In this case, I realized that to make right judgments, experts were necessary.
I concede that experts' judgments are
not always right or valuable. But, in most fields, someone who is an expert can
give more valuable judgment for knowing much more knowledge in that field than
others. So I tend to agree with the speaker fundamentally.
