回答: 不够,因为没有人会十分确定自己的未来发展方向,因此我们不能孤注一掷。

Many people hold the view point that if the university only provide one major of courses, students will have plenty of time to learn it thoroughly. However, I rarely think so. As far as I considered, it is really important for students to study a variaty of courses ousider their major. I have folloeing reasons to support my idea.
First of all, I disagree with the idea that if we take other kinds of courses, we will fall in our own major. Instead of that, knowledge ouside our major can help us get a better understanding of what we major in. For example, we learn economic as our major. Math can help us annalyze the data we need. Sociology can provide us a wildly background which we need to combine with the conclusion we get. And by taking phylosopgy courses, we get a deeply thought of everything we have learned. On the countrary, if we only learn economic, we will get in trouble with a mass of datas. What's more, we may even fall to get the right conclusion practical.
Secondly, as the development of our sociaty, it becoming more and more important to get to know things as much as we can. Under the influence of the economic depression, it is harder for us to get a job in our major. What if we bacome sales men while our major is law? Just give up the sale job and wait for a new one as a lawer? I do not really think so. But if we learn more couses than we should in our university, it will not be a problem anymore. In order to improve the rate of employment, it is a wise way for the director of the university to open more courses for students to take, which will attract even more students.
Lastly, I ignore the viewpoint that taking other courses will waste our time. In my point of view, it is never a waste to learn. As for many students who live in the network era, computers, which we used to consider as a good tool to atudy, can be a great tempation to us. If we do not take the courses, we may playing computer games, watch the movies, or chat with someone who maybe we even do not know. Learing ability is the best gift we get from god. So, if we take courses even ouside our major as mush as possible, we make our talents a good use.
From what have been mentioned above, it is not difficult to draw a conclusion that learning more courses outside our mojor can do good to us. Because courses will help us knoe more and do well in the rest of our lives.
