It is no wonder that there is a huge surplus of dancings all over the world. Almost every nationality has their own dancing. And I agree with the statement that dancing plays an important role in a culture.
First of all, dancing is one of the forms of culture. And different dancings reflect different culture. For example, culture of the Dai Nationality emphasis nature and beauty. So the Peacock Dance is beautiful and peaceful. People can recognize the natural culture from Peacock Dance. On the other hand, waltz is one European dancing which contain the nobility and luxury in European palace. Also, waltz is very popular in European aristocrat and reflect the culture of European aristocrat. Therefore, dancing is one of the forms of culture and plays an important role in a culture.
Second, dancing is one of ways to express one's emotion and is often used to celebrate some festivals which is one kind of culture. For instance, North easterner in China like to dance the yangko in festivals to express their happiness and delight. And yangko is one important part of their culture. Additionally, there may be Street Dance in some celebrations to active atmosphere. Street Dance express the delight and passion of the celebration and is also important to express culture. Thus, people can use dancing to express emotion in a certain culture and dancing plays an important role in a culture.
Third, dancing is helpful to understand culture because of the same characteristic between culture and dancing. For example, Japanese is introversion and Fan Dance in Japan has a slight action and do not used to express intensive emotion. And Brazilian is passionate and emotional exposed. So the samba in their culture has a big action and fast-paced as well as high pitch music. Understanding specific dancing will be helpful to understand the corresponding culture. Therefore, dancing plays an important role in a culture.
