Nevertheless,government interference will more or less disturb the integrity of arts.Blind and large amount of funding will pose serious effects on the arts developments.First,arts will lose its freedom,because government will decide which works are good.Some artists create arts to cater to the taste of government.For example,an artists funded by the NEA exhibited gay works in The Perfect Moment exhibition,which angered Senator Helms,leading to the Senate Vote on the suppression of NEA support for this kind of works.The events highlights the issue of artistic freedom and the power.Second,fairness can't be satisfied.Government always fail to distinguish whether a works is good or not,and they patronage all artists equally.As a result,some general level artists can get redundant funding.In a word, the freedom and fairness of arts are hard to done by the government.
What is the integrity of arts.In my opinion,if arts can develop freely without the limit of materials and government force,artists express thier idea completely in their works,the arts is pure and natural.Both lacking support of government or excessively interference will affect arts development.Some traditional arts threatened to extinct need the protection of government,and some original arts need the proper ecouragement of government.So the function of government is of great importance.
