The speaker asserts that the well-being of a society is enhanced when many of its people question authority. I fundamentally agree. In my point of view, I concede that people's question to authority leads to social instability sometimes. But under most circumstances, it is question from people to authority that is helpful to the well-being of a society.
  Admittedly, people's question is not always correct and may resault in social instability. When those happen, the development and stability of society is threatened. For example, recently America witnesses the great demonstration called"Occupy Wall Street". Numbers of citizens crowd in the main streets of New York City like Wall Street. This demonstration causes national wide demonstrations which may lead turmoil around the country. The government and congress is facing great challenge from their citizens. And at the same time, the financial and cultural development is decreased.
  However, if the authority doesn't respect its people's question or doesn't allow its citizen to question itself, more serious consquences will apear. On one hand, without question from its people, the authority may make wrong decisions. On the other hand, people's dissatisifaction may become more strong. Both of them will lead democratic mrevolution in furture. For example, the autocracy in Libya deprives its citizens of rights which resulting in the civil war. And finally, the citizens and peaceful powers from Europe overthrow the government together. Although autocracy is eliminated, the citizens will face social instability in a long time.
  Finally, by respecting people's question, the authority can be better supervised. In this case, the authority is more carefully when make assertions or decisions and has the ability ot correct nation strategies. So the well-being of a society is enhanced greatly. For example, the government of Dalian which is a famous and beatiful tourist city in China adopted citizens' advise to remove a chemistry plant which polluted the water. As the result, the environment was protected and improved to attract more tourists and comfit its own citizens.
   To sum up, I concede that people's question may be harmful to social stability. However, under most circumstances, the well-being can be improved when many of its people question authority. So I fundamentally agree with the speaker.
